We've had two days this week at 46 degrees (115 F) and everyone keeps telling me it's only going to get hotter.......dang that's hot. Fortunately i can work in the kitchen building which has just enough air conditioning to take the edge off the heat but the builders are out working in it all day long. Every day is pretty much the same weather - clear and sunny often windy in the afternoon. I'm secretly hoping for a cyclone so we can get something wet -- season starts in November.....Since today was Sunday, we had the first ever Minderoo Cricket match out on the air strip (where we couldn't break anything like windows or windscreens). Everyone batted and bowled and it was great fun, although being in the out field is really boring. I even managed to score three runs!
Once it got too dark to play, we headed back into the station for food, drinks and a good long shower to get the dust off. Tomorrow we start at 6 a.m. to get a jump on the heat.....
